While still early in the year, this has already been among the most news-heavy periods for the aftermarket in recent memory.
And to the surprise of nobody, it’s the ongoing developments for First Brands Group that have caught the attention for most readers in the aftermarket.
Most Read Story: First Brands Group
Actually the most read story is really more than one story: Multiple stories, all focused on developments at First Brands Group. The ongoing saga may be officially playing out in the U.S., in particular the Chapter 11 filings and involvement of the U.S. Department of Justice over allegations of wrongdoing, but it is all having dramatic affect throughout the aftermarket and into the automaker world, where First Brands Group is also a key supplier.
The most read among them was (so far!) the announcement of the sale, much anticipated, but officially on the books in January.
That story is below, but you can catch up on all our First Brands Group coverage HERE.
The Rest of the Most Read
Aside from the above, the stories that have engaged in 2026 are a much more diversified bunch.
If there were any common themes it would be financial and corporate developments, including quarterly results for some big players, at the highest end, and a number of closer-to-home people announcements at the other more personal, and Canadian, end of the spectrum
So here they are, in no particular order of ranking.
