Once again, Shad’s R &R has made a significant difference to muscular dystrophy research in Canada.

Stacey Lintern, CEO, Muscular Dystrophy Canada, recently informed Brad Shaddick, Chair of Shad’s R&R, and the Shad’s R&R Board that the amazing support Shad’s has given to Muscular Dystrophy Canada has made an impact on neuromuscular research for 2022/23.

Lintern said, “On behalf of MDC and thousands of people and their families affected by neuromuscular disorders, we are grateful and there are really no words that can express our sincere appreciation.

“It’s just so amazing to review all the initiatives – honestly, you are moving the needle and making a tremendous impact.”

Lintern also shared an impact report showing the impact Shad’s R&R has made in its efforts toward Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

On June 22nd, the 48th annual Shad’s R&R for Muscular Dystrophy took place at Woodington Lake Golf and Country Club north of Toronto. Brad reports that, based on exceptional generosity from the companies and individuals within this great industry, a cheque was provided to Muscular Dystrophy Canada for $180,000.

With this donation, Shads has now surpassed the $5.6M mark in cumulative funds raised since 1973.

The 49th annual Shad’s R & R is scheduled to take place once again at Woodington Lake Golf and Country Club on Thursday, June 13th, 2024. Shaddick says attendance is expected to surpass this year’s numbers.

Ideas are already being shared for the 50th Shad’s R&R in June of 2025, which promises to be a very special event.
