Rain may have kept golfers off the golf course, but it certainly didn’t dampen the success of this year’s Monaco Classic, an annual fundraising tradition for Monaco Group Automotive that is surely among the largest annual charitable events in Canada’s automotive aftermarket.

Held earlier this summer, with the support of the Monaco Group’s vendor partners, loyal customers, and dedicated staff, the group delivered an unforgettable day filled with great conversations, exceptional food and drinks, lively networking, and an exciting silent auction.

“While the fairways may have been quiet, the clubhouse was buzzing with laughter, meaningful connections, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

“The overwhelming generosity of everyone involved helped make this year’s event our most successful yet,” says Monaco Group Automotive.

With proceeds amassed from the Monaco Classic combined with Monaco Group Automotive’s matching contribution, a record-breaking $450,000 will be donated to the Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal, the Montreal Neurological Institute, and the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation.

Through the Monaco Group Foundation, the organization is dedicated to raising funds to help better communities and further the efforts of various medical advancement fields.

Fundraising efforts came from modest beginnings 32 years ago by Monaco Group’s founder, Ernesto Monaco. He started his first annual charity golf tournament to benefit local disabled youth in need. Year after year the tournament grew thanks to the support of staff, friends, family and dedicated suppliers and vendors to officially become a registered foundation in 2010.

Over the years, the Monaco Group Foundation has raised over $4 million for local institutions and charities.
