Plews & Edelmann has introduced Edelmann Elite Return Hoses, an entirely new high-performance product category for the hydraulic power steering aftermarket. For more than six years, Edelmann Elite has focused on the pressure side of the power steering system, setting the high-performance standard for the most demanding hoses in the system. With the arrival of Elite return hoses, that same premium engineering now reaches the return side of the steering circuit, a high-performance return hose option that simply did not exist in the aftermarket before.

The new line is built for the shop, led by fully assembled return line assemblies that arrive with correct routing and fittings, ready to install out of the box with no cutting or hand fabrication required. Bulk coil is also offered, in 3/8”, 1/2” and 5/8” diameters, giving distributors high-performance Edelmann Elite return material in whatever form the job demands.

Each Elite return assembly is built with original-style fittings that require no adapters, zinc-coated tubes for rust and corrosion protection, and double lock beading with barbed tube ends for a secure hose-to-coupling connection. The upgraded Elite rubber formulation cuts oil-induced swelling by half and withstands the heat and ozone exposure that prematurely harden ordinary return hoses.

Replacing both lines together protects the rest of the repair, since contaminated return-side fluid is one of the most common reasons a new pump fails shortly after installation.
