Word reached Jobber Nation of the passing Wayne Balliet, a long-time Customer Service and Equipment Specialist with UAP at the NAPA Distribution Centre in B.C. on February 4, just shy of his 60th birthday.

Wayne had a long career in the aftermarket with Auto Marine Electric and NAPA beginning in the 1990s and was praised for his knowledge and advice that he offered to anyone who sought his help. He was a talented man who could renovate, repair, build, cook, garden, entertain, and always lend a helping hand.

He was also a father to two daughters—Kaylyn and Leah—and husband to Anna.

Originally from Winnipeg, he moved the British Columbia in 1980 where he met Anna.

As part of a legacy for Wayne, NAPA will be placing a memorial bench in his honour at the NAPA DC and has renamed their annual golf event the “NAPA Wayne Balliet Memorial Golf Tournament.” And as part of the organization’s BCIT Learning partnership, they are also creating an annual scholarship in Wayne’s name.

A great guy and co-worker. He was knowledgable and always extremely helpful to those of us in the field. Sad to hear of his passing.
