Russ and Joan Johnson purchased CTR in 1982, three years later they made the decision to add an aftermarket automotive and industrial supply division to the business. The Johnson’s had a background in the automotive industry and they made an excellent decision in expanding the company.

In 2007 the business was purchased by Don and Alison Harvey.

Russ is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan, daughter Karin and son Brent. Russell was the only child of Garnet and Violet Johnson.

Russ had a love of aviation and was very proud of his plane, a Piper Arrow. Russ was a proud founding member of the Canadian Starfighter Museum.

Another love Russ had was taking his RV around the southern United States to get away from the cold.
