Penray, Inc. has been named a certified vendor partner for the Automotive Parts Services Group (APSG) aftermarket network, commonly known as The Group. Members of The Group represent more than 5,000 Federated and Pronto auto parts stores throughout North America.
Penray’s new credential elevates it to the highest level of vendor approval within the APSG network. With this new certification, Penray’s products will be available through all of the stores in The Group. This vast product lineup includes more than a hundred separate products, including service chemicals, coolant additives, and functional fluids.
Penray’s product portfolio includes cleaning and enhancement products for automotive and heavy-duty vehicles and systems, including fuel, cooling, and lubrication system products for gasoline and diesel-powered cars and trucks. Penray products include fuel injector cleaners, diesel fuel supplements, and a catalytic converter restoration product.
With this new certification, Penray products will be available throughout the entire APSG distribution network, which includes Federated and Pronto warehouses and auto parts stores throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This is of particular value to owners and technicians at auto repair facilities, who can now purchase Penray products through their local Federated or Pronto jobber. These stores typically offer same-day “hot-shot” delivery to help shops enhance throughput and avoid delays. Such deliveries are commonly made to the wholesale customers of these stores, including independent repair shops, franchised chain stores, tire shops, quick-lube locations, fleets, and new- and used-car dealerships.
Penray will support all levels of The Group with an ambitious package of marketing, training, and sales support programs. This will include on-line and on-site materials. It will include in-store training of sales associates and, in an extraordinary move, will also include hands-on training at selected individual repair shop locations. This will afford Penray trainers the opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness and proper use of its various chemicals and service kits.
