Mevotech launches memory steer solution

Mevotech announces the launch of its latest TTX: Terrain Tough Xtreme design innovation for ball joints at AAPEX 2019.

This patent pending design is an engineered solution for problematic memory steer applications.

One of the common issues that can affect a fixed axle suspension is memory steer.  This term refers to the pulling a driver may feel in the vehicle after making a turn and the steering wheel doesn’t return to center.  Mevotech’s technical services team, field reps, and Mevomobile crew have been collaborating with technicians across North America with similar stories of this condition to develop this solution.

Mevotech Engineers analyzed the feedback, and after many months of in-depth research and innovation, developed a TTX ball joint to combat memory steer.  This ball joint features a specially designed sintered metal upper bearing to better withstand radial loads, variances in suspension geometry, and facilitate the entire range of movement for the ball stud.

“Our design combines simplicity and extreme durability,” says Tyler Kearns, Lead Engineer with Mevotech.  “When paired with our other TTX ball joint enhancements, this memory steer solution represents the ultimate in engineering innovation resulting in optimized performance and an extended service life.”

Mevotech is at AAPEX booth #2850.

All Mevotech’s parts are listed in its catalogue found at http://partsonline.mevotech.com and in electronic catalogue providers.
