Veteran senior aftermarket executive Jason Best has taken on a new role, as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for Arkansas-based Cloyes Gear & Products.

“I am extremely excited to join the Cloyes Team, and their dynamic growing organization,” says Best, also addressing the industry at large.

“Over the many years, I have had the pleasure to work with each of you, your teams, your collective customers, and our great industry. I look forward to embarking on this new journey with Cloyes and collaborating on our ongoing partnership and mutual opportunities that benefit both organizations.”

Best, who hails from the Province of Quebec, has extensive experience in the automotive aftermarket.

His career in the aftermarket has taken him from Spectra Premium, to Uni-Select where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager, to First Brands Group where he held a number of senior roles, most recently as Senior Vice President Sales IAM/Service Channel/OEI.

He has also been active in the industry and served as the chair of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada in 2019.

Cloyes has recently been active on the acquistion trail.

In February it announced the acquisition of Denton, Texas-based Automotive Tensioners Incorporated (ATI), a leading front-end accessory drive pulley and tensioner supplier to the automotive aftermarket.

That acquisition marked Cloyes’ second acquisition in recent months. In October 2023, Cloyes acquired Vancouver, B.C.-based Rotomaster, a leading global turbocharger and component specialist.

In his new role, Best will be overseeing Cloyes, ATI, and Rotomaster from a revenue perspective.
