Tim MacDonald, president and CEO of Ideal Supply Limited, is one of 105 named to receive Order of Canada recognition.

MacDonald, a member of the founding family of Ideal Supply, an electric supply distributor and NAPA’s largest independent auto parts distributor based in Listowel, Ont.. He has a long history of community and business involvement.

He was former chapter chair of the Young Presidents Organization, founding board chair of the Stratford and Perth County Community Foundation, and a former board member of the Stratford Festival, and currently serves on the board of the Atlantic Salmon Federation.

He also co-founded the Arctic Research Foundation, which aided in the discovery of the 19th-century Franklin expedition ships, the Erebus and the Terror.
