Following a successful inaugural AIA High Fives for Kids Foundation Chairman’s Challenge in 2021, the youth-focused fundraising campaign has returned.

The Chairman’s Challenge was initiated in 2021 by the Foundation’s chair Raymond Proulx as the continuing absence of fundraising events threatened the ability of the organization to meet the many charitable funding requests from across Canada.

“We felt as a group that we had to do something different if we cannot rely on past events to generate revenue,” said Proulx at the 2021 launch of the challenge.

In fact, the Chairman’s Challenge raised some $30,000 for children and youth charities across Canada and it is that success which has led to its return even as some of the traditional fundraising activities also return.

“Golf tournaments and special events have been our long-standing major fundraising stream,” writes Proulx. “However, due to the success of the Chairman’s Challenge last year, we are excited to announce that we have launched the 2022 Chairman’s Challenge and invite you all to participate.”

In addition, added emphasis has been placed on finding Canadian charities supporting the children and youth affected by the Ukraine war.

“We would like to thank all those who participated in the Challenge last year and hope to have your continued support.”

A NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHER:

It has been my great pleasure to serve on the board of the the AIA High Fives for Kids Foundation for the past two years. It’s a great organization doing good in communities across Canada. And, as with the inaugural Chairman’s Challenge, CHAT Integrated Media, publishers of Jobber Nation, Indie Garage, and creators of The Great Canadian Aftermarket Trade Show and The Great Canadian Aftermarket Podcast, will continue to provide public recognition of those who donate through the Chairman’s Challenge. Please consider adding your or your organizations’ name to the list, and renewing your commitment if you gave last year. Thank you!” Andrew Ross, Publisher and Director Content, CHAT Integrated Media.
