0ntario’s Motorcade Industries, part of Group Monaco Automotive, held its inaugural Motorcade Industries Charity Open, bringing together 160 golfers from across the automotive aftermarket in support of the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
The weather forecast leading up to the event was looking decidedly ominous, but golfers know better than to trust a forecast—and, as the saying goes, it never rains on the golf course. Despite the threatening skies, participants were able to play the majority of the holes.
The event raised an impressive $75,000 to prevent heart disease, improve stroke care, and fund innovative medical research.
The tournament brought together customers, vendor partners and colleagues for a day of golf, networking and fundraising, demonstrating the automotive aftermarket’s willingness to support important causes beyond the day-to-day business.
For a first-time event, the turnout and fundraising total make a strong statement—and provide Motorcade with plenty of momentum for future tournaments.
