Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ popular Champion brand was honoured for its excellence in film editing by the Clio Awards.

The “There’s a Champion in Here” campaign, which introduced Champion’s expanded line of light maintenance products including automotive filters, wiper blades, batteries and lighting, in addition to its well-known spark plugs, to the automotive aftermarket, earned a Clio Shortlist Award.

Champion Wins Clio Award

The “There’s a Champion in Here” video was launched to celebrate those who have an irrepressible drive to win at life, and additionally consisted of out-of-home advertising, digital ads, and social media.  In April 2018, the entire product portfolio was launched throughout the United States with Champion’s new, award-winning packaging, and was the recipient of the prestigious ANDY, ADDY, LIA, ANA and Communication Arts magazine awards.

“We are honoured to be recognized by the Clios with this award, as we continue to drive home the fact that the Champion brand consists of not only its iconic spark plugs, but instead is a brand that you can trust for all light maintenance needs for your vehicles,” said Rebecca Mahan, Director, North America Brand Marketing, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “Our new campaign evokes strong emotional connectivity from customers, technicians, consumers and auto enthusiasts, and it is important for us to let consumers know that they now have the chance to install even more Champion parts to maintain their vehicles all year long.”

The Clios is the esteemed international awards competition for the creative business. Founded in 1959 to celebrate high achievement in advertising, the Clios annually and throughout the year recognize the creative work, the agencies and the talent — across advertising, sports, fashion, music, entertainment, and health care — that push boundaries and establish new precedent.
