Delivery driver tips: Winter’s coming . . .

by | Feb 1, 2021 | 0 comments

With apologies to all who have yet to come to terms with the fact that summer is over, as we head into a winter driving season, the professional delivery driver will be called upon to keep the wheels of the industry, and their community, rolling.

As imperative as that is, here are some useful things for the delivery driver to keep in mind:

1-Ensure that you have proper winter tires.

It makes good sense and promotes a best practice.

2-Carry a snow brush and ensure your vehicle is kept thoroughly cleaned.

3-Keep your vehicle interior at a temperature comfortable for wearing a coat.

Constantly going from a hot vehicle to a cold winter temperature can put you at risk for getting sick.

4-Consider having delivery vehicles be a platform for promoting lighting and wiper upgrades.

This makes sense, particularly during the darker, winter days.

5-Be aware of other drivers.

Leave extra space and time at intersections, especially in slippery conditions.
