Custom Automotive Network honours industry players

Custom Automotive Network, formerly known as Performance Warehouse Association, presented its top awards during the annual CAN Connect event. 

  • Person of the Year : Bob West of Westin Automotive Products
  • Manufacturer of the Year: Westin Automotive Products
  • Reseller of the Year: Premier Performance
  • Sales Rep of the Year: Michael Kunzman and Associates

The prestigious awards are voted on by CAN membership and recognizes those who have made a significant contribution for the benefit of the custom automotive distribution system.

The awards were presented by Custom Automotive Network’s President, Tracie Nunez, CAN’s Chairman of the Board, Andy McJannett of Performance Improvements, and CAN’s Chairman-Elect Scott Wahlstrom of Motor State Distributing at the 46th annual CAN Connect Conference on September 8, 2019 in Frisco, TX.

Bob West of Westin Automotive Products and honoured as 2019 Person of the Year. Westin Automotive Products was also honoured as 2019 Manufacturer of the Year for their passion and innovation.  West said, “I am completely humbled and honored to have received this award from CAN. Although my name is on it, it is really a testament to the hard work and dedication of our customers towards our products, and by all of the employees at Westin who made it possible.”  

Premier Performance Custom Automotive Network

Bob Barra of Premier Performance shared, “We are thrilled to be recognized by our suppliers and by our peers as the 2019 CAN Reseller of the Year. Our membership in CAN is very important to Premier, and we are very big believers in the organization and the CAN Connect Conference. To be recognized as the Reseller of the Year is a tremendous honour.”

Michael Kunzman and Associates Custom Automotive Network

Michael Kunzman and Associates was honoured as the 2019 Sale Rep of the Year.  

Tracie Nunez, President of CAN, said, “It is a privilege to present these honoured awards to our industry leaders on behalf of CAN’s members. Being recognized by your industry peers is a very special honour and illuminates the winners dedication to our industry.”

Custom Automotive Network was founded in 1970 as Performance Warehouse Association. The mission is to assist the custom automotive industry in efforts to expand, maintain and promote the profitable distribution of custom automotive products through the manufacturer | distributor | retailer | consumer channel.

The trade association consists of about 400 member companies joined together to deal with management, financial and legislative matters.
