Bestbuy Distributors reports that its annual Buy & Sell was once again a successful event, attracting members of the automotive aftermarket buying group from across Canada to network with valued vendors from throughout North America to Newfoundland.

Bestbuy’s Buy & Sell was held in St. John’s Newfoundland, September 16 – 19, 2018.

Two days of successful meetings with vendors were highlighted with events such as a Welcome Reception, the annual SickKids charity golf tournament and charity day tour, as well as a group “Rally in the Alley” dinner and outing on famous George Street.

The Wilds at Salmonier River golf course was host to Bestbuy’s annual golf tournament. Non-golfers participated in the day tour which took the group on a guided trip enjoying the best of St. John’s, including lunch at Chafe’s Landing in Petty Harbour where the group bumped into local favorite Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea.

The group demonstrated friendship and team spirit at Bestbuy’s “Rally in the Alley”. Three separate teams were formed at the start of the evening, but by the end, it was one happy family. Some initiative and a surprise auction raised $5,100 for SickKids from a $20 George Street T-shirt purchase.

It was a fun and memorable evening for all. Buy & Sell St. John’s raised monies for the world-renowned Family Heart Centre at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children through raffle sales, a surprise T-shirt auction and golf sponsorship.

This year’s proceeds with Bestbuy’s on-going raffle sale efforts, will be pooled together and a cheque presented to the hospital at Bestbuy’s upcoming Annual General Meeting in Toronto on April 5, 2019.

Jeff Van de Sande, President of Bestbuy Distributors stated, “Buy & Sell St. John’s was a great success. The feedback from our members and vendors present was extremely positive, as the group really enjoys our unique meeting and networking format.”
