AIA Canada announces Board of Directors changes

The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada) announced a number of changes to the 2026-2029 AIA Canada Board of Directors, including the election of three new directors.

Changes were confirmed at the 84th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on April 16, 2026. The event took place virtually, ensuring member representatives from across the country could participate. 

The AIA Canada Board of Directors appointed the following members as the Executive Committee:   

  • Chair: Jason Herle, CEO, Fountain Tire  
  • Immediate Past Chair: Tony Kuczynski, president and CEO, Mister Transmission  
  • First Vice Chair: Chris Kinghorn, vice president, strategy and growth, UAP Inc.  
  • Second Vice Chair: Costa Haitas, president, Auto Service Group  

The newly elected members of the Board of Directors are: 

Daryll O’Keefe, vice president, North American strategic business development, Fix Network 

Daryll O’Keefe

Daryll O’Keefe is vice president of North American strategic business development at Fix Network, with over 30 years in the auto care industry. He is known for driving growth, building partnerships, and mentoring teams. Previously, he served as senior vice president at Fix Network Canada, leading expansion across Canada and into international markets like Australia, Spain, and Germany. He began his career at Sherwin-Williams before joining Fix Network’s leadership team. Daryll also led the development of its Training Centre program and remains active in industry advocacy. Outside work, he enjoys family time, fitness, and motorcycling. 

Sabrina Thring, brand president, Driven Brands Collision Group

Sabrina Thring, a Toronto native and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), began her career in finance with roles at Bacardi and Alcon Pharmaceuticals. She joined Driven Brands in 2016 as Vice President of Finance for CARSTAR and advanced through senior leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Paint and Collision and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of US Collision. Now Brand President of Driven Brands Collision across North America, she oversees 1,080+ locations, driving growth, performance, and franchise success. Sabrina is passionate about building high-performing teams and fostering a winning culture. She lives in Oakville, Ontario with her husband and three children. 

Bryan Elwin, chief financial officer, Mr. Lube + Tires 

Bryan Elwin

Bryan Elwin is CFO of Mr. Lube + Tires, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the auto care industry. A CPA with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia leads financial strategy, governance, and performance across 190+ locations nationwide. Known for aligning financial insight with business growth, Bryan supports long-term organizational success. He is also active in industry and community initiatives, serving as a Director of the Mr. Lube Foundation and coaching youth soccer. He lives in Vancouver with his wife and two children.   

The new directors will serve on the AIA Canada Board of Directors until the 2029 AGM.

Automotive Industries Association of Canada also took the opportunity to thank former directors Ryan Bruno, Craig Jalbert, Jasna Smiljcic, Micheline Davies, Michael O’Callaghan, and Pamela Lee for their commitment and service to the Board. The remaining Board members will continue to serve their current terms as approved at the previous AGM.
