AIA Canada’s Quebec Div. appoints new committee members

The Automotive Industries Association of Canada has announced that five new members have been appointed to the Quebec Division Committee from various sectors in the Canadian auto care industry.

Annie Desmarais is a banner program specialist with Uni-Select Canada and is the official presenter of AUTOXPO 2021 and 2022 Bumper to Bumper.

Her main role is to offer the best solutions and benefits to support mechanic shop and automotive aftermarket store owners.

She brings a wealth of ideas to the table and always strives to succeed and ensure the success of the teams with which she works.

Annie was already involved with AIA Canada’s Quebec Division on the banner committee.

Annie now joins the committee as the representative for the distribution network to replace Zineb Ahnou Ghouila, whom AIA Canada thanks for contributing to the success of the division over the past four years.

Mathieu Côté is the co-owner of Pièces d’Auto Alain Côté, a NAPA member with four stores in L’Ancienne-Lorette, Lévis, St-Marc-des-Carrières and St-Raymond in the Québec City area. He also sits on the board of directors of CPA de Québec.

Mathieu is a dynamic young entrepreneur who is involved in the industry as well as with new electric vehicle technology.

He holds a diploma from the École d’Entrepreneurship de Beauce. He will serve on the committee as a representative for the parts store sector.

Alexandre Lajeunesse is the co-owner of the Garage Max auto shop located on the South Shore of Montréal.

He will serve on the committee as a representative for the mechanic shop sector.

Alexandre has had a varied career, which will allow him to have a global overview of the industry. He has contributed to several areas of the industry over the years as a parts and service manager, business development officer, sales manager and shop owner for the past four years now.

Pierre-Luc Tremblay is the owner of the Carstar Marché Central shop located in Montréal.

He will serve on the committee as a representative for the collision sector.

He has more than 14 years of experience in the automotive industry. His career and broad range of experience in mechanics, body work and insurance ensure that he has a solid knowledge of the issues, constraints and dynamics of the sector.

Natasha Akhavan is a sales manager with Entrepôts AB. She has more than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, more specifically in the collision sector.

Her in-depth knowledge of industry issues and networks will be an asset for the Quebec Division Committee. Natasha will be joining the committee as a representative for the distribution network.

AIA Canada would like to congratulate these five new members and thank them for agreeing to share their knowledge and experience so the committee can continue its mission.
