The E.R.I. Group has announced this year’s winners of the Richard Miller Education Award.
The award to provide financial assistance and encouragement to individuals who wish to further their education or training, has been presented to applicants from E.R.I. member companies for more than 20 years.
Miss Peyten Hanson, Miss Adria Hubbard, Mr. Devon Enderwick, Mr. Ryan Pettit, Mr. Anthony D’Arcy and Miss Molly Powell Rideout were each presented with a $1,000 cheque to help further their education.
“We congratulate each of them on their success and wish them well in their chosen vocations. We also applaud all of our applicants this year with furthering their training or education,” said the organization in a statement.

Peyten Hanson of Spruce Grove, Alberta is entering her second year of a 2 ½ year Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Peyten earned a place on the Dean’s List in both semesters of her first year. She has found a particular interest in echocardiography and would like to specialize in that area to help diagnose and monitor heart conditions, one of the world’s leading health concerns.

Adria Hubbard of Lumsden, Saskatchewan is entering her first year of a 4 year Pre-Pharmacy program at Luther College through the University of Regina. Adria is starting her post-secondary education towards her ultimate goal of becoming a Pharmacist.

Devon Enderwick, of Greenbank, Ontario is entering his 3rd year of studies at Queens University in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Devon has an interest in all things mechanical, with a special interest in the internal combustion engine.

Ryan Pettit of Willow Beach, Ontario is entering his first year of a 3 year Aviation Technician Program at Canadore College. Ryan is starting his post-secondary education towards his ultimate goal of becoming an Aircraft Technician.

Anthony D’Arcy of Granby, Quebec is entering his second year of a 3 year Business Management program at CEGEP de Granby (Granby College). Anthony is passionate about the business world and wants to deepen his skills in management, marketing and business strategy. His ultimate goal is to one day use his knowledge and skills managing his own business.

Molly Powell Rideout of Sussex, New Brunswick is attending her second year of a 2 year program in Forest Technology at Maritime College of Forest Technology. Molly’s passion for this industry began when she was working at tree nurseries and seed orchards. She is excited to about the diverse opportunities a Forestry Diploma will offer her.
