Brookfield acquiring Gregg Distributors for $1.6B

Brookfield, through its private equity business, has agreed to acquire Edmonton-based Gregg Distributors.

The transaction values the business at
an enterprise value of approximately $1.6B CAD.

Gregg Distributors is currently owned by the Gary Gregg family and its employees, who will retain a meaningful ownership stake in the business as part of the transaction.

Founded in 1968 and headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, Gregg serves a diversified base of customers across Western Canada.

The Company has established a differentiated position in the market through its broad product offering, rapid fulfillment capabilities and high-touch customer service model, enabling it to serve mission-critical customer needs.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
