SKF Automotive has expanded its range of Timing Chain Kits in North America for domestic and import passenger vehicles and light trucks.
The line now includes more than 21,000 vehicle applications ranging from 2000 through 2025, covering 115M VIO.
SKF timing chain kits come complete with all necessary components for a complete engine timing chain replacement,which includes chain(s), guides, tensioners, and sprockets. Where applicable, the kits come with oil jets, seals, fasteners, and gaskets.
SKF Timing Chain Kits are designed and assembled to ensurethat all parts and components have a long functional lifespan.
Chains are manufactured with high-strength steel and heat-treated to reduce abrasive wear and improve resistance to fatigue stress. Hydraulic tensioners have been developed to provide optimal chain tension and vibration damping of the timing chain system.
Guides are manufactured from high-heat-resistant polyamide, resulting in improved performance at high temperatures and excellent wear resistance.
Sprockets are manufactured and heat-treated to harden the contact surfaces that engage with timing chains.
Oil jets are designed to ensure adequate lubrication to the timing system. VVT components are designed to increase fuel efficiency, eliminate rough idling, and improve overall system performance.
